Okay, it's time to start talking about the work in progress that I've onto since last month -- Allison In Wonderland. Now the story I wrote is a parody to Alice in Wonderland, and I've seen a number of stories, some in a dark romantic setting and pornographic setting (which the porn version really disappointed me.), and after being inspired by an m/m author, Pablo Michaels' book, Jack and the Magic Beanstalk, along with someone's post about Alice in Wonderland (thank you Sara Davis), I decided to write my own version of Alice in Wonderland, but I want a very erotic version and filled with adventure.
The story is about a young woman in her late 20's, Allison and her step-brother, Steve, embarks on a separate adventure, when they spot a young woman named Jessica roaming through their backyard. They discover an empty shed with two doors that take both of them on an adventure unlike any befor -- an adventure in Wonderland. Allison ends up in a forrested area, where she'll face off with swindling characters; Steve ends up at the Red Palace, where he is held prisoner by the Red Queen to face execution.
In the story, I wanted to create a dark twist in the story, along with an adventure and eroticism that will keep the reader interested in the story. I didn't want to use realism (which I normally don't focus on), since it is an adventure fantasy, but I wanted to use enough characters to keep the flow of the story. I had to alter the names of the actual characters, and add a few ones in the story. There are no shape-shifting characters, and all the characters in my story are human. Yes, including the White Rabbit and the Cheshire Cat, but I used some form of resemblance in the story to keep some of the originality.
I wanted to create Allison as a woman who gets a dose of her own medicine for being cruel and twisted to her step-brother, Steve, because the two had grown close, and Steve had developed feelings for, vice-versa for Allison, but Allison is pushing Steve out of the way, because he is her step-brother, and the thought of the two being in love with each other didn't sit right for her.
As for Steve, he's not playing the damsel in distress. In fact, Steve was an inspiration to a real-life individual I know personally. He's witty, and always has some way to get the upper-hand on his opponent. He's a fighter and a lover, but he has his own issues too, like trying to get one-up on Allison for playing with his heart and mind.
The characters I'm going to include int he story is Tweedle Dee and Dum, but I've altered their names; The White Rabbit, who goes by the name of Jessica, The Mad Hatter, who only goes by the name of Mr. Hatter and his mistress, Willow, who obtains a certain special power for Allison. Along with the Cheshire Cat, who goes only by Cheshire; The White Queen and of course, the story wouldn't be complete without the Red Queen, who is very evil and villainous in the story.
Upon completion, I will announce the release date to my story, but so far, I'm almost at 30k words, which may be a novel.
I'll keep you posted.
