Thursday Tasters - 05/22/2014: Love Out Of Lust Part 4

Hey guys, how are you?

This is my second segment of Thursday Tasters, and I'm going to provide you a rough draft excerpt to my book - "Love Out Of Lust Part Four", guaranteed to release soon. Once I received my final edits, I will announce my release date.

Part Four to my Love Out Of Lust Series was the most difficult, but I had fun writing it.

(Thanks to my editor - Elicia Stoll)

Come have a look at my Thursday Taster....

The two laid in silence as Marisol watched the incense glow in the darkness, filling the room with a most sensuous smell. The smell in the bedroom was euphoric, causing Marisol to use her finger to draw patterns on his chest. Then she stopped, sighing in frustration. She couldn’t sleep.
“Don’t stop, Marisol; I loved what you were doing.”
“I’m sorry.” She continued drawing patterns on his chest with her finger. “I’m having a hard time falling asleep.”
“Excited to see your cousin after his long tour in Afghanistan?”
“Yeah, but it’s more than that.  I can’t help thinking about what a wonderful night I had with you.”
“I had a wonderful night with you too.”
She raised her head and leaned over to kiss him. “I love you.”
Daryl hesitated when he heard what she said, “Did you just say what I think you did?”
“Uh-huh,” She laid her head on his chest and kissed his chiseled abs. “I did. Do you love me, Daryl?”
“Yeah,” he murmured.
Marisol sensed something was off, so she asked, “What’s wrong, Daryl?”
“Nothing. Well, it’s just that…”
“What?” She insisted.
He sighed, worried he would say something to upset her, but he blurted it out anyway. “Marisol, are you seriously in love with me, or are you just saying that?”
“Daryl, I’ve always said I love you, and I worry about taking this too fast with you, but I’ve got these feeling for you. You know, things that—”
“Yeah, I know. I’ve been feeling that way about you too. I just want to make sure we’re on the same page here.”
She laughed, “Same page?”
“Yeah, I wanted to get you a card for Valentine’s Day card, but I wasn’t sure how would you take it, since we were only sleeping together. You know what I mean? And if I did get the card, I thought about writing Love, Daryl.”
Her heart fluttered when she heard that. She really appreciated his sincerity.
“Marisol, we’ve been best friends for so long, but just a few days ago I felt like we were a real couple.”

“Me too, Daryl. I started feeling that way about you when we hung out together at the laundromat. I’ve never felt so relaxed being around you. I mean, you treat me so special.”

  3. Very romantic, especially for a Valentine's Day date. You captureda mutual feeling between two people, finding it difficult to say the words, "I love you." I loved this scene, especially when Marisol is drawing patterns on his skin with the incense burning.
