What's up, Hiyadoin? It's now time for another segment of Thursday Thrills, where authors post a snippet between 100 - 1000 words, based off a picture provided for the event.
Here's what I have in store for you:
Darla and Tyler went out on a Vegas Vacation, and struck out of luck until fate turned their way and they are going to enjoy their vacation to the fullest.
Come check it out in 709 words.

What an exciting trip this was going to be for Darla and Tyler as they brought along Stacy and Jiro, Lisa, and Sully. They were going from an ordinary day in Portland, Oregon to a week of Paradise in Las Vegas, Nevada; lots of sun, fun, and too much heat. During the day they went around places and got to see Treasure Island, Circus Circus, New York New York Casino, and went atop of The Stratosphere. Hell, they even went shopping at the largest lingerie store on Flamingo Drive, just off the strip. Now they were going to have a night of partying at the Aria, but first they were going to dine at the Aria Casino, the most trendiest place in Vegas.

The group was staying at The Stratosphere, the very northernmost part of the strip; near downtown, and they entered a white, luxuriously large limo SUV, with the most exquisite features inside that had you rode through town like a rock star. The features had comfortable plush seats, long enough to lay down three people that were hung over from a long night. There were three flat screen televisions, and an all you can drink wet bar with the most premium alcohol and beers, including the most famous Korbel Champagne.

“How could you afford this? We’re so not deserving!” Lisa drooled as she entered the limo, looking at all the eye-candy features.

“Holy shit!” Jiro said, entering next. “We’re really riding in style!”

Stacy entered, her eyes were amazed at the finest luxury life could offer. “Wow, look at all the seats, and they have champagne.”

Sully stepped inside the limo who spoke with his African Accent “Tyler, what did you do to get us this ride? I don’t believe it. I mean only in America, do I get ride like this.”

Tyler smiled. He replied like there was it was nothing for his generosity. “Nothing, just felt like splurging.”

He stood there and turned to Darla. She had this look, knowing the real deal. She was there; she witnessed Tyler hitting the jackpot for fifty thousand dollars, at a local casino off the strip. The two would’ve gone through a shitty Vegas trip if they hadn’t found the ten dollars on the floor, near the restrooms. Darla had to go pee, while Tyler picked up the ten dollars. Darla told him not to spend it, they needed money to eat, and they already jacked up their credit card bills from taking any money out.

Before they ran out of luck, they only saved enough money to probably see a few Vegas shows and bands. They were spending the night at the Stratosphere, but didn’t have the money to really spend; everything was tempting. But like most people on a trip to Vegas, they blow a great portion or practically all of their money of blackjack, craps, and slot machines. They were embarrassed at what they done – overspending.

But despite doing the right thing and hold on to money, Tyler couldn’t resist playing this particular machine. It had the aggregate pay off of fifty thousand dollars. However, he knew better about chasing a pipe dream. He was only interested in doubling his ten dollars for twenty. When he inserted the money, he didn’t realize he played max credits – a total of three dollars, and then three triple diamonds rolled in his favor on the payline. He couldn’t believe it. When Darla came from the bathroom, she saw him sitting at a slot machine, almost pissed, but then realizing what happened, she kissed him like she’d never been proud of him before. Tyler was still starstuck over the thought of winning something significant. Was it just fate?

So here there were at the door of the limo SUV, but before stepping in Tyler grinned. “They have no clue.”

Darla nodded, knowing exactly what he meant by it. “No they don’t, but we’re going to have good time carrying a few hundred dollars.”

“With all that fun we had. I can’t wait to get back to Portland.”

She couldn’t disagree more, cryptically know what he menat. “Me too.”

Darla kissed him and then stepped inside; Tyler followed her in before the door closed behind them from the limo driver.
