Thursday Thrills - 03/07/2013

Hiyadoin'? Once again, it's time for another segment of Thursday Thrills, where
authors post a segment based on the picture provided, anywhere between 100 - 1000 words
An evening out into town, Darla was thrilled to see Tyler’s hometown, San Mateo, but enjoyed being in San Francisco more; there was so much more attraction. They managed to find parking in the Presidio District, and walk down the shores to enjoy the most breath-taking view of the Golden Gate Bridge as the color of the sky began to darken.
“This area is so beautiful. I wish we could live here.” She held his hand giving him her most twinkling look.
“If we could afford to live here, then yeah. But we’ll miss our friends in Portland, and San Francisco is a little more fast-paced compared to Portland.”
“True, I just love the area.” She sighed like a hopeless romantic.
As Darla walked down the steps, leading both her and Tyler to the beach, the warm breeze began to pick up. It may have blown her hair back and into her face, but the she was able to see where she was going. Luckily, she had on a pair of sneakers; Darla was very much into wearing heeled-shoes, but walking on sand was very unstable for her keep her balance in. Then again, she didn’t feel like dressing up; Tyler was wearing a pair of cargo shorts, a long short-sleeved shirt, and a denim jacket to keep warm from the San Francisco climate. It may be August, but San Francisco’s climate was mostly spring-like during the summer.
The walk on the beach was romantic, but Darla was soon shivering from the breeze. She could cower back uphill and warm up in their car, but she didn’t want to miss the opportunity of this breath-taking view – The Golden Gate Bridge – the background of Marin County and the sound of the waves crashing onto shore. She inhaled the sweet smell of the ocean, leaving her in state of Zen. But despite the beauty, she couldn’t stop shivering, and Tyler began to notice it.
He stopped, opened his jacket, and pulled her close to his body. He could feel Darla shiver into him. “I told you to wear a jacket.” He kissed her on the forehead.
Darla shivered, “Oh, you’re so warm. I could hold on to you all night long.”
Darla rested her head against his chest. Tyler was a warm-blood, warming her up with his body heat. She could help but shiver more, but she warming up from his hold. She felt his arms wrap tightly around her, and then his hands rubbing up and down her backside. She really enjoyed it. Darla then looked up and saw a warm smile from Tyler’s face. She may have been cold, but it was a perfect chemistry between the view of the Golden Gate Bridge, the ocean, and now… Tyler. She then smiled and gave a brief laughter.
Tyler gave a look of confusion, but laughed along when he asked, “What?”
“Aren’t you going to kiss me?”
