AfterDark's Interview with Marabelle Blue of Kink-E Magazine

Today is an honor to post an interview about one of the most interesting people of the erotic industry. Marabelle Blue of Kink-E Magazine; an artist, writer, entrepreneur, and internet radio show host as she gives one great interview about herself, her online magazine, and the fethish world that her magazine is surrounded by.

1.  Hi Marabelle Blue, thank you for doing this interview. Please tell us a little bit about yourself?

Well, I own a magazine, that focuses on Fetish, Alternative Lifestyles and much more. I'm a single woman, living in NYC all of my life. A little bit of well traveled but not out of the country, yet. ;-)

2.  How long have you been involved with the erotic business?

I was on and off for the last seven years but the last three years I have thrown myself in full fledged. I love it! It's a great business and I've met some very interesting people. This business is teaching me how to weed out the people that are just in it for the money. Don't get me wrong, I like making money, however, I have a love for writing and the erotic/fetish lifestyle that people live, including myself.

3. As I understood that MarabelleBlue is an alias name. What was the origin of the screen name?

Ahhh Marabelle Blue. She actually came from a character in a book I read many years ago. At that time in my life, I had broken up with my ex after a very long term relationship with him. Since I was so accustomed to being with him and the way our life was, I found myself lost and not sure who I was. After reading this book and this character, (and she was a small character in the book), there was something about her that made me project the kind of woman I wanted to be. Other than the name being beautiful itself, I had a vision of me where I can almost touch who that person was. It took a lot of time, mediation and acceptance of myself to become the woman I am today.  Change happens when I allowed it to happen, it just doesn’t come because I want it to, if that makes any sense.

4.  As I ask my authors, I also ask my entrepreneurs. How do your friends and family feel about the business you’re into?

I don’t necessarily discuss it with my father because he’s very much old school but he’s clearly aware I own a magazine and that I sell fetish toys but that’s as far as it goes for him. My mom is a little different. I can tell her I was at a swinger’s party and describe people having sex and she just gets a gas out of the whole thing.  My extended family knows but I don’t elaborate unless they ask. Other than that I never felt they judged me because of it, I think it’s more of the fact I own my own business is a positive thing.

5. Tell us about your website Kink-E Magazine?

Kink~E Magazine was embodied through my own personal experiences. A magazine developed by a woman for women.  I had a vision but at times when you have a vision it doesn’t play out exactly how you want in the beginning, at least for me that’s how it happened.  After some time and experience, I defined what I wanted my magazine to be, what information it will entail.  The primary focus is fetish and fetishism, the lifestyle, how people live it and respect the lifestyle.

One has to know and understand the lifestyle.  I have had many people mimic my magazine but the fact of the matter is I have something that no one else really has or owns. It’s about a voice, experience and being your true self. Once a person has embodied that they can convey that message to others and in turn get something out of what they offer to the same like minded individuals. I truly appreciate those that I meet every day in this lifestyle.  We have expanded the magazine to alternative lifestyles, which include swinging, homosexuality, music and social/political issues  We’ve got you covered :-)

I can’t forget my Partner and Creative Director Felix Latexx. He has been such an asset since he’s come on board last year.  I’m pleased with the work he’s done since he’s joined the magazine.

6. What inspired you to come out with Kink-E Magazine, and how long has Kink E-Magazine been around?

Kink~E Magazine has been around for the last eight years but the original concept was created ten years ago.  It just took me a while to get everything in order before it became live.  The smart thing in business is not put anything up that’s incomplete.  It was basically two years of research and soul searching. After I felt I had done enough homework, I came out with Kink~E Magazine.  I wanted the name Kink in there because it was a reflection of what people defied, especially here in America  The E stands for Erotica.  It’s almost contradictory because Erotica is so accepted but Kink isn’t, when people don’t realize that both work hand in hand.

7. While much of your events that you host are around the New York Area, are there other places where you hold events?

Other than NYC not yet, would love to do Vegas first!

8. Where do you want to see your website three to five years from now?

I want to see it on TMZ…LOL but seriously, I want the whole world to know that this is the magazine where fetish people can be featured, where the alternative lifestyle people can talk about their lives, where we can continue featuring underground music and musicians.  I want it to continue to be the number one place people can rely on to get their information on fetish, sex and alternative living and most importantly entertainment! We have come a long way and we’ve got a great writing team on board.

9.  I understand that you are a writer, what genres do you basically write?

I write editorials, which basically is the “opinion” piece of the magazine. I love to write features and interviews, my best writing comes in the form of erotic stories which was an early passion of mine since the 8th grade (yes I was a young aspiring writer/reader of erotica).

10. When you read other people’s stories, what are you looking for to keep you interested? Are you looking for the excitement, romance, comedy, or etc?

I like the excitement! I want to read a scenario first…give me a scene so I can put myself in that time frame.  Character description is always great, but the tension of the story is what gets me because I know what is going to happen, I know the story is going to end in a great orgasm but like in real life, the beginning  and the middle is the foreplay…so it must be good!

11. In the time that you have been writing erotic stories, what kind of characters do you always enjoy writing about? (the hero/heroine, dom/sub, or etc?)

Believe it or not the sub but the Dom being the man and how he takes control of the “situation”, being the play and the sex.  There are certain things that may or may not pertain to me and my own personal lifestyle but I will keep the mystery on that one.

12. Do you have any books that are about to be published at this time, or any plans on coming out with one?

I’m actually in the process of writing an erotic short story type trilogy about woman who had had several affairs with married men and how it changed her life. It’s a true life story and I’m honored that this woman has approached me to write part of her life story. I’m hoping to have it out in late September or just in time for Halloween.

13. As a talented individual involved in writing, arts, media, and entrepreneurship, what kind of advice could you give to aspiring artists/entrepreneurs in the erotic business?

The one sound advice I can give is know your business, feel good about what you are doing and be confident about your product. There are so many people out there aspiring to do the same thing but not everyone has that “it” factor.  Sad to say that’s what this society of today lives on, other than once you have “it” you have to keep it interesting at all times.  That’s why I feel blessed to have this magazine because it’s not a magazine that I only write, it is a compilation of writers who have different opinions and different stories.  It’s just as my motto on the site, “There are a Million Stories in this Naked City….”

Part two of my advice, never let anyone put you down. If someone really wants to help you they will.  There’s always someone waiting in the wings to give you unsolicited advice.  When people know that you have a good product they try to alter what it is that you have. Never listen to people like that. Those are the possible thieves waiting to steal your idea!

14. Where can people follow you (i.e. social network sites, websites, blogs, etc.)?

Six Sentence Sunday - 07/31/2011

About the Night Ride Home  Chapter 3- May 17th, 2004.

He sat down and turned on the television. The show CSI: Miami began was rolling its beginning credits. He looked behind his shoulder and saw Alicia going into the liquor cabinet. She poured two glasses of Scotch and brought them over, so she could join him and watch the show together.

“Thanks” as he took the glass from her hand and sipped.

“I can’t believe I have someone who love watching this show with me.”

“Me too; I like CSI Las Vegas more.”

“Me too.”

When the show returned from the commercial break the two sat together. Tyler was sitting in the middle sipping on his drink. Alicia sat beside him with her legs curled under her in a sexy pose. She leaned her head over his shoulder, as she admired the smell of his cologne; it was stimulating. The cologne he wore was so scrumptious, in addition to feeling tipsy, she just wanted to peel off his clothes and lose control all over him.

Tyler was tipsy as well and turned on, but he was trying to be modest on making his move. To let his influence take over, he took another drink and wrapped his hand around her waist. The two didn’t bother much to pay attention to the show; they kissed instead.

Six Sentence Sunday

Hi, this Six Sentence is based on an upcoming short story that I started working on early last month.

The Girl Upstairs

She placed her curling iron on the sink and took off her teddy, letting it drop to the floor.

She caressed herself, starting with her bust and then her tummy. She quivered to the sudden sensation of her fingers running at the very areas of her body. Annabel was imagining her downstairs neighbor touching her from all over; such a wonderful dream.

Once she felt aroused, her nipples began to feel very sensitive to her touch. She was beginning to moisten down below and the need for self-exploration was a must step for her to take.

Meanwhile, Carl was standing in the bathroom, shaving in front of his mirror. He overheard some strange noises about a woman moaning upstairs.

At first, he thought it was his DVR player playing the movie too loud, but he remembered that he set the movie on pause. He listened closely and realized it was his upstairs neighbor, Annabel, moaning in the background.

"What the hell?" he said to himself as he listened carefully to the beautiful sounds of her gasps and moans. Such an amazement to him, he can hear everything going on in the bathroom.

Tune in to my next upcoming book in the making: The Girl Upstairs. by Your's Truly, Ray Sostre

Six Sentence Sunday: Bad Girl vs. Bad Girl (Excerpt from About The Night Ride Home)

Okay, please keep in mind that this is a bad girl vs. bad girl scene that I have been working on since the beginning of July. I want to warn that the content of the SSS neither intimate, nor sensual, but conflicting since I wanted to provide a sense of creativity to my story: About The Night Ride Home.

Excerpt from Chatper Five: March 12th, 2006

“Can I trust you two to get along for just a couple of minutes while I get my mail?”

“I’ll do my best,” Darla remarked with a devilish smile; Alicia snared at her.

“Darla, don't start,” he warned. He sighed shaking his head, “I’ll be right back.”
Tyler exited the apartment, leaving the two alone together. The apartment was completely quiet as the two stared at each other. Alicia stared down at her with a twisted expression, and then looked away as she rolled her eyes. Darla felt like getting up and slapping the shit out of her, but she figured why not push her buttons anyway.
“What are you looking at?” Darla asked with irritability.
Alicia responded with a scoff, “Nothing important!” She muttered out “Fucking loser!”
“What did you say?” she threatened. “Shouldn’t you be leaving, or do I have to scare you away with my strap-on?”
“I like to see you try to make me leave,” she challenged back.
That was the kind of challenge Darla needed. She may be suffering a shitty hangover, but she’s in the mood to knock her on her ass.
“You know, it’s been a long time since I slapped a mouthy bitch.”
She exclaimed, “Oh yeah! Well what's stopping you?”
As Darla rose from the futon sofa, shoving her away, “Nothing's stopping me, you piece of shit!”
Alicia dropped her purse and began charging at Darla, yelling, "That's it! I'm going to fuck you up!"
"Bring it bitch!"
Tyler returned and found the two women going at it with each other.

AfterDark's Interview with Eve McFadden

Meet Eve McFadden, one of the most breath-taking authors of erotica. Her style of erotic writing can be so intense that you will be uplifted and taken in awe of her work. AfterDark Online appreciates a romantic writer of erotica and welcomes her with open arms.

1. Thank you for giving me the wonderful opportunity to interview you. Before we get started could you please tell us a little bit about yourself?
I'm a married mother of two, currently staying home with them, which is its own kind of work. I love to read, am a big fan of classic movies, and of course, a hockey fan.

2. How long have you been writing erotic stories, and what other genres do you write?
I have been writing for a couple of years now, pretty much just erotic stories although I've varied the genres a bit within that. I've written contemporary romances, some nonhuman stories featuring shapeshifters, witches and vampires, and a few "one-off" stories that could qualify as stroke stories. I have other stories in the works in other genres, including sci-fi, but just haven't had time to develop them.

3. When did you know that writing this genre was for you? Did it come to you naturally, or was it something that has held your interest?
For quite some time, like many people, I was pretty dismissive of romance writing. Not erotica specifically, although I suppose that came under the heading.
Probably the first break in that was editing a paper for a friend of mine when she was in grad school. She was writing a paper on romance novels, and what makes them successful, and that gave me some insight and nudged me to think that perhaps it wasn't all about ripping bodices and heaving bosoms. I still preferred sf/fantasy generally, but I also liked a romantic component to that, so moving to more "straight out" romance was no big deal, and surprisingly fun.
A few years ago, we relocated to Pennsylvania and I went online to search for free romance stories. The first site that popped up was Literotica. Once I got over my initial surprise/shock, I discovered there were a number of decent-to-good writers on there. After a while of reading, I guess my competitive gene got into gear and I wanted to see if I could do it. My first posted story was called "Make a Wish." I was fortunate to get extremely supportive feedback, and so I continued.

4. How do your friends and families feel about your writing?
The ones who know are quite supportive. Since a lot of people are still easily shocked by explicit sex writing -- even though most of my works fall short of shocking, I think -- I've been selective about whom I tell.
The most important person, of course, was my husband. I was concerned about his reaction at first, as I didn't want him to think I was addressing any kind of void regarding our relationship. Once we were clear that this was a hobby, and a creative outlet, it was fine. I was nervous as he read my first stories, but he was encouraging and supportive, so I couldn't ask for more.
My parents know, and my dad is quite pleased, I think, both that I have a creative outlet and that I've had some success. Dad and I are both voracious readers -- I got that from him. He hasn't read any of my stories, but they aren't the genre he prefers. He's more into nonfiction. My mother has read a few, but is weirded out about her daughter writing sex scenes.

5. When you read other people’s stories, what are you looking for to keep you interested? Are you looking for the excitement, romance, comedy, or etc?
All of those things will help keep me going, and it depends on why I chose a story in the first place. If I'm in the mood for a light romance, a heavy sf story isn't going to cut it, and I'll just drop it.
Generally I want a story to make sense and stick to any rules the author has laid out. If the characters are well-developed and the plot is logical and well-paced, that's half the battle. Dialogue can be a turn off, although I think it's one of the hardest things to write. Frequently I find that authors are as formal with their dialogue as they are with their exposition, which makes their characters then seem very stiff.
I also like accuracy. I've blogged before that it's frustrating to read a story with factual mistakes, as I did with some hockey romances written by Rachel Gibson.
When I edited that paper for my friend in grad school, one of the "rules" for a successful romance story was an "intelligent and independent heroine." I've kept this as one my most important rules. I hate reading about a weak woman. And this is not to say she has to be in-your-face, or as tall as an Amazon or anything like that. But a woman who can think -- who can weigh her options and then make her decisions -- that goes a long way.

6. What other books have you written?
I have five e-books published through Republica Press.
First there's what I refer to as my "Tiger Series:" Exiled, Young Blood, and All Too Human. Then there is The Hunted Key. Finally, I recently published a compilation of hockey romances with Tamara Clarke, called Melting the Ice.
Aside from that, I have a number of stories posted on some free erotic stories site, including AfterDark-Online.

7. In a short synopsis, please tell us about your book (title of book)?
Exiled, the first novel-length story that I wrote and then published, is about a weretiger named Angela Griet. She has lost her ability to shift, which resulted in her being banished from her pack, and by her father, who was the pack leader. Despite her feelings of betrayal towards her family and her pack, when she overhears of a possible threat to them she sets out to warn her estranged father.

8. What inspired you to write your story (title of book )?
I'm not sure exactly what sparked it, but something gave me the idea of -- what if a were couldn't shift? I ended up with a more complex story than I expected or intended, with one antagonist in fact being duped by another.
Writing the story provided a lot of chances, though, to explore what feelings someone wrongly punished might feel, especially when one's parent did the punishing. That's something appealing about fantasy in general, and the nonhuman genre. You can explore themes in a way more easily because you are off the usual map of human feelings and emotions.

9. In the time that you have been writing erotic stories, what kind of characters do you always enjoy writing about? (the hero/heroine, dom/sub, or etc?)
I just like writing about people. And there's a difference, a different mindset, when moving from contemporary romance to a genre like nonhuman.
In nonhuman and other genres, you can go a little over the top, you can have your good guys and your bad guys, your chases and captures. Much like if you were writing a thriller, but now you have someone who can change forms, or perhaps a vampire who can move faster than a person can see. So in those books, you often have the couple united against a common enemy and coming together for that reason.
In contemporary romances, such as my hockey stories, you look at other things, like just how life in general might affect a relationship. Because really, people tend to have mundane problems like miscommunications, timing conflicts, things like that. In my first hockey romance, "Nothing Gets Through," the driving conflict is that the protagonist, Dom, is reluctant to open himself up to someone else, given his past. That's a whole different dynamic than in Young Blood, where a fugitive vampire prince teams up with a weretiger to take on a vampire queen.

10. When you’re creating a scene in your stories, how do you keep ideas fresh from other stories you’ve written?
Hopefully the basis of the story will mean that the scene itself is fresh. If you have different characters, they will interact differently than previous ones, and so that should make it easier for the writer. So I try not to always have a smart ass guy, or a quiet guy, or a feisty woman, or a shy one. Trying to mix it up is the fun as well as the difficult part of writing.

11. What advice would you give to other writers of erotica, especially to those that are starting out?
1. Just keep writing -- practice makes us all better.
2. Read, read, read. See what other authors do, not just with their sex scenes, but with their character and plot development. Look at them even for guides on punctuation; few things are more frustrating than reading a story that lacks basic punctuation or grammar.
3. Find an editor. This will take some time, likely, but will be worth it.
3a. Listen to your editor. Do not take offense, or put up a wall, because they suggest a change. As much as you love your characters and your words, you may be wrong. You may need to change them. Keep an open mind about it. An editor is there to help you improve and sometimes improving means radical change.
4. Also find a beta reader. This is someone who will read your rough draft for continuity, plot, etc., and not grammar issues. Do this before sending it to the editor.
12. Where can your books be purchased, and if you have a website, blog, or networking sites where can people follow you and your work?
My works are published and available through Republica Press (republicapress.com), but also available at Amazon.com, Smashwords.com, AllRomanceEbooks.com, and Bookstrand.com.

I blog -- or try to -- at http://evemcfadden.wordpress.com/.

EXCERPT:

The bedroom was large, and the bed looked inviting. Staring at the dark covers, Angela realized just how tired she was. Even if she could figure out a way to leave, she'd be too exhausted to get far. She'd be better to rest and examine her options in the morning.
"Here," Aidan said, pushing her gently toward the bathroom. "Everything you need is in there. Take your time. There's a toothbrush, towels, and a shirt to sleep in." He winked, teasing her, trying to lighten the mood. "If you want it."
Angela was about to argue with him, decided there was no point, and stepped into the bathroom. She washed away her makeup and felt slightly refreshed, then debated the shirt. Well, she couldn’t sleep in her dress, she decided. And she sure as hell wasn't going to sleep naked. So on went the shirt, which came down almost to mid-thigh. She wished it was longer, but it would have to do.
"That looks better on you than it ever did on me," Aidan told her when she reentered the bedroom. He'd stepped into the guest bathroom while she was in the master.
"Flattery will get you nowhere," Angela told him, trying to keep her voice steady. He was wearing boxers, and he was not unpleasant to look at. He was toned, and his muscles looked sleek. She remembered their few stolen moments years ago, and how safe and warm she had felt when he held her. It was difficult not to simply surrender to the Pull she felt, but she steeled herself. This was love, wasn't it? Sacrificing her happiness to keep him safe—that was because she loved him.
"Well, a guy can always try." He flashed a dangerous grin. She was as beautiful as he remembered, he thought. Maybe more so. He couldn’t wait to wrap his arms around her and pull her close to him in the bed.
            "Aidan, we can't—"
"It's all right, my own angel," he said, using his old pet name for her. He stood up and once more reached for her hand. "Just come here and sleep. That's all. We'll talk more tomorrow." She took a tentative step towards him and suddenly Aidan slid his arms around her and nearly crushed her against him. Before she could protest, he kissed her. Her lips were soft and warm and when Aidan touched them gently with the tip of his tongue, they parted hesitantly.
Angela had faltered when he used his endearment, and again when their lips met. God, she had missed him. She hadn't even known how much until now. She'd dated a few times, but it had never been serious. No one else was like him, and even subconsciously, she'd known that and couldn't let things continue with anyone else. When his tongue touched hers, however, it jolted her back to reality and she pushed back so hard that he fell to the bed and she stumbled back to the bathroom doorway.
"Don’t," she choked out. "Please, don't. We can't." She hugged herself and shrank back further.
Aidan closed his eyes and took a deep breath. That had taken him by surprise as well. It was as though he couldn’t control his actions. "I'm sorry I scared you," he said. The fear in her eyes tore at him. "I'm not sorry I kissed you; I've wanted to do that for I can't remember how long."
She nodded but made no move to come to the bed.
"Angela, please, come here." She eyed him warily and moved around the foot of the bed to the other side. He fought the urge to grab her again. "Just lay down. I promise nothing will happen." She slid under the covers, staying as close to the edge as possible, her eyes never leaving his.
"I'm sorry," he said again, reaching over and stroking her cheek. He wanted to make the fear go away, but he wasn't sure how.
"It isn't your fault." Outside she was still, but inside she was frantic. This just could not happen. She wanted to cry in frustration from the opposing desires of her heart and her mind, not to mention her body. She sat up. "This is a bad idea, I should just go home."
"No." Aidan raised his voice just slightly and she clutched at the comforter, nervous at the dark expression on his face. Aidan closed his eyes and tried to get a handle on his emotions. Whatever was going on, she was terrified, and he had to remember that. Ordering her about was not going to gain her trust. But he couldn’t let her go. Neither of them would sleep for one thing. He knew that, and he knew it would hurt. His uncle and aunt had tried to deny the Pull when they felt it, and his uncle had told him how it felt as though something was tearing his heart out when they tried to get physically further away from each other.
"You know it will hurt, physically hurt, if you leave," he said. She nodded, her eyes downcast. "So, please, just stay. It's late and we both need to sleep. We're too tired to deal with everything now." Angela certainly couldn't argue with that. "So you'll stay?" he asked quietly.
"Yes," she said softly. He was right, and there was no denying that she wanted to stay.
"All right, then." Aidan reached behind him and turned off the light, then slid under the covers himself. His muscles cried out in relief at being horizontal after the tension of the last couple of hours. He felt Angela lay back down, although she stayed as far to the other side of the bed as she could. His eyes adjusted quickly to the darkness, and he could only think how beautiful she looked. He wanted to say something, but couldn't think what, so they lay there quietly.
"I'm sorry," Angela said after a while. Aidan was surprised, he thought she'd fallen asleep.
"For what?" he asked, reaching out to find her hand and hold it in his.
"I'm sorry I didn't…say good bye, or at least tell you I had to leave." That had weighed on her the entire time she'd been gone. Angela had desperately wanted to tell him something, anything, but it had all happened so quickly there hadn't been time. Nor had she been permitted to tell him. Suddenly, she was on her own and she'd never lost the bereft feeling of leaving her family and friends.
"I am, too," he said. Then, after a pause. "I've missed you a lot."
"I've missed you, too." She tried to keep her voice even. "But I couldn't contact you after I left. It was one of the…the conditions."
            "Conditions?"
"My father wanted to keep any future contact I might have with the pack to an absolute minimum. So I was only allowed to call him, or your father if I couldn’t find mine for some reason." Tears started to fall from her eyes despite her best efforts. "I wanted so badly to call you, or write you, but I was afraid you would get in trouble…or that my father would send me further away…"
Aidan couldn't stand it anymore. He rose up on one arm, reached over and pulled Angela to him. The warmth of her body was intoxicating, as was her scent, but he knew he needed to keep himself in check. There was too much to discuss, too much to learn, to move too quickly.
The sudden movement took Angela by surprise, but she didn't move away. Instead, she found herself winding her arms around his shoulders and holding him as tightly as she could. If they only had this time, she would at least allow herself the comfort of his body, the comfort of him holding her. Aidan stroked her hair, and after some time, they were both asleep.

AfterDark's Interview with Jodi Olson

Welcome again to another interview with one of the most acclaimed authors of western erotica, Jodi Olson, and believe me she has a wonderful style to add romance, comedy, and steamy scenes in her story.

1. Thank you for giving me the wonderful opportunity to interview you. Before we get started could you please tell us a little bit about yourself?

My name is Jodi Olson, I write erotic contemporary, historical, and menage romances. My favorite genre to read is anything that involves cowboys. I have 17 books out right now and 4 more will be out by end of the year. When I'm not writing then you'll find me on my Erotic Ranch yahoo group or my FB groups. I share one group with three other authors Divine Divas, its for our fams.

2. How long have you been writing erotic stories, and what other genres do you write?

I've been writing for almost 5 years been published now going on 4 years. I write Contemporary, Menage and western historical.

3. When did you know that writing this genre was for you? Did it come to you naturally, or was it something that has held your interest?

I've always loved western romance since the age of 13. At one point I had read every western romance in my favorite used bookstore. Then about 8 years ago I stumbled upon erotic romances and was hooked. I still read what I call regular romances but the erotic ones have now become a favorite. One day I had an idea for a book I wanted to try and write. The book is The Cooper Stud Ranch series. I have the first volume under contract right now and there will be 3 more to come. This series is based on 12 brothers. Then also I have coming out a Free read called The Cooper Stud Ranch :The Early Years its based on the parents of these studs. I'm so exited on this series it is the first peice Ive written and very special to me.

4. How do your friends and families feel about your writing?

My computer friends consist of authors so they are all for it. The family doesn't like to talk about it.

5. When you read other people’s stories, what are you looking for to keep you interested? Are you looking for the excitement, romance, comedy, or etc?

What I'm looking for is a good plot first off. If it has too much what I call fluff I lose interest. I love books that keep me guessing what will happen next, also love books that make me laugh. Also love the secual tension. A book doesn't have to have sex on every single page to me as long as the chemistry is hot between the two lovers.

6. What other books have you written?

I have 17 books out now. 1. Playing House(western) 2.Raining On Sunday (threesome), 3.Naughty Whispers (threesome)  4.Getting Wild 5.A Christmas Wish 6.Hunters Possession (threesome western) 7.Storm Obsession 8. Seduction the Riley Way 9. A Christmas Charade 10. Breathless Whispers 10. Tempting Pleasures paperback (8 of my stories in one book) 11.Madame Bree and the Sheriff(western historical) 12. Sinful Delights 13. Claiming Lauren (western threesome) 14.Sensuous Pleasures( second paperback) 15. Home for Christmas 16. Office Play(free read in erotic pleasures) 17. For The Love of Bobbie (western threesome)

Coming this year: !8. Dear John (threesome) 19. The Cooper Stud Ranch:The Early Years(Free read, western Historical) 20. The Cooper Stud Ranch Volume One(Historical Western) 21. Christmas Cuffs (threesome)

7. In a short synopsis, please tell us about your book (title of book)?

For the Love of Bobbie is a western threesome that has m/m, m/m/f , m/f in it
Barb ‘Bobbie’ McDaniel –owner of Bobbie’s Dude Ranch.
Clint Ericson- Bobbie’s high school sweetheart, father to the baby she lost 2 months after leaving. He’s come back to win her again.

Devlin Lyons- worked on Debbie’s father ranch right after Clint left. Became Bobbie’s friend, helped her when no one else did. Now he was her Head Wrangler. He kept her secret about the baby but he has a secret of his own. He also wants her.

9. In the time that you have been writing erotic stories, what kind of characters do you always enjoy writing about? (the hero/heroine, dom/sub, or etc?)

My Hero's are the most fun to write for me. I have lots of favorites. lol Then there are my cowboys I love them too. lol

10. When you’re creating a scene in your stories, how do you keep ideas fresh from other stories you’ve written?

None of my stories are ever the same, so many stories you can do with cowboys. The series I'm working on you will see that.

11. What advice would you give to other writers of erotica, especially to those that are starting out?

Never give up, keep writing as much as you can. And write what you love.

EXCERPT:

Mesmerized by the erotic sight of Devlin working his cock deeper into Bobbie’s pussy, Clint groaned. The sound drew Devlin’s attention and he looked at Clint and grinned.
“Clint is watching us, Bobbie. I think he wants to join us.”
Bobbie’s eyes opened. “Clint!” Her voice was a shriek. She tried to move to get up, but Devlin’s hand pushed her back down. “Stay here, this is what you wanted, isn’t it?” His voice was smooth, but insistent. “Look at Clint, darlin’. His dick is about to burst through his jeans, wanting to get inside you.” He looked at Clint, “Tell her.”
Clint’s mouth was so dry he couldn’t speak so he nodded instead. Bobbie soon relaxed enough that Devlin sank the rest of his cock into her all the way. He withdrew in a slow motion before plunging back into her, forcing a cry of pleasure from Bobbie.
Bobbie watched Clint, and he watched Devlin fuck the woman they both wanted. He was fascinated by the gloss of sweat all over Devlin’s tanned skin, and the sucking and slapping sounds of the frantic erotic joining.
Devlin stopped moving. Placing one arm under Bobbie’s hips, he used the other to urge her up until she was pressed against his chest, his cock still firmly lodged in her pussy.
“Clint, get in here,” Devlin ordered.
Clint moved closer, stopping only a few inches from the bed.
Devlin lifted one hand to play with Bobbie’s breast. “Get those clothes off.” Clint didn’t waste any time doing just that.

AfterDark's Interview with Cassandre Dayne

It's official. My very first interview with one of the most talented, wicked, and naughtiest authors in erotica, and she's my break-in as an interviewer. I feel very well honored to interview Cassandre Dayne.

Thank you for giving me the wonderful opportunity to interview you. Before we get started could you please tell us a little bit about yourself?
I call Cassandre Dayne the wicked girl side of the real me, Bethany Halle. Both girls love music, dogs more than people and a hot read outside with a lovely glass of win.
My personality is bold and I think that reflects in my books that I write.

How long have you been writing erotic stories, and what other genres do you write?
I’ve been writing erotic for a little over a year. I started out writing science fiction and moved into paranormal – which I have an entire vampires series going under my real name. I also write under Dakotah Black with a campy murder mystery series called Pinked.

When did you know that writing this genre was for you? Did it come to you naturally, or was it something that has held your interest?

I think both. I tend to be a dramatic person and very passionate so I’ve been told I write very saucy sex scenes. I also love to read the genre.

How do your friends and families feel about your writing?
The majority of my family look away like its prostitution. While my husband won’t read my work, he is my website guru so I’m lucky. Friends are just starting to grow curious about why and how I can write erotic so fast so we’ll see if they come around.

When you read other people’s stories, what are you looking for to keep you interested?
Are you looking for the excitement, romance, comedy, or etc? I enjoy reading in several genres but I think I’m looking for something a touch either out there as in wicked or a creative bend on ways to kill people.

What other books have you written?
There are so many titles right now that are out or coming out – Just recently released: Breakfast Eye Candy and Game Over. Coming soon are Truth, Dare or Dangerous Intent, Spankdown, Taming Paradise, Deception, Domination & Hunted Desire, Male Order and The Fire of Submission.

In a short synopsis, please tell us about your book Game Over ?

It’s my first m/m piece and the story is about a cop, Tony, in an all boys in blue precinct that have a don’t ask don’t tell policy and he hides his male lover, Caelen.  Caelen grows weary of being a dirty secret and is going to end the relationship so Tony must decide. In this case, he gives Caelen the fantasy he’s always dreamed of to entice him into staying.

What inspired you to write your story Game Over?
In truth I have many gay friends who continue to have some forms of prejudices thrown at them so I thought I would delve into the concept.

In the time that you have been writing erotic stories, what kind of characters do you always enjoy writing about? (the hero/heroine, dom/sub, or etc?)
I personally love writing about bad boys that have a dark secret and about dom/sub relationships. They intrigue me tremendously.

When you’re creating a scene in your stories, how do you keep ideas fresh from other stories you’ve written?
It’s odd – I tell people that you give me ANY idea and I can write an erotic piece around it and it’s true. Stories come to me in the middle of the night and I quickly write them down and they expand. I have a back log of at least 100 and they all have a creative bent. I guess it’s because of my wicked mind!

What advice would you give to other writers of erotica, especially to those that are starting out?
Remember that you have to have a story no matter what and make your characters real. While formulas are out there – go with your gut when and how they should have sex and make it believable! Guys don’t use fluffy words and girls don’t always wear sexy things from Victoria’s Secret – well, my girls tend to but…  Most of all keep writing and don’t listen to the naysayers about erotic. It’s a wonderful ride.

Where can your books be purchased, and if you have a website, blog, or networking sites where people can follow you and your work?
Here are all my links and I can be found everywhere including Barnes & Noble Pubit, Amazon Kindle, Bookstrand, Coffee Time Romance and All Romance E Books.

GAME OVERCassandre Dayne – by Rebel Ink Press – hot off the presses!
Dark secrets and lies…could two lovers survive?

BLURB

Tony Dartanion relished his life but he kept his private life hidden from the majority of the world. A decorated detective in the grittiest precinct in the Philadelphia police department, he was hungry to make Captain and willing to do almost anything. Unfortunately the old boy’s school had a don’t ask, don’t tell policy that enraged him and yet he kept his sexual appetites concealed. The boys in blue believed that he was a card-carrying man that desired all things in a skirt and stilettos. The truth was that he was in love with a man and one that he barely acknowledged outside of their bedroom. Caelen Tomlin was tired of being a dirty little secret.

In the beginning they had savored a highly erotic relationship and now, they were barely more than friends. Realizing he was going to lose the golden haired model if he didn’t change his ways, he planned a naughty event to entice Caelen and remind him of exactly why they were together. Sealed With a Kiss was a scandalous secluded club that catered to all things kinky and Tony was determined to fulfill every fantasy his lover craved and change his ridiculous ways. Unforgiving, Caelen refused to accept and Tony was forced to make an excruciating choice.

EXCERPT

Caelen gave him a mischievous gaze and shook his head. “Old argument. I’m in charge.” Pointing his finger, he swayed his hips back and forth. “Not only do you know it, you crave for me to take you over my knees to spank that Italian Stallion ass of yours. Whew, getting a little steamy out here.”
“I suggest you not tease me tonight or you will pay.” Yet Caelen was right. The decision about who was the top in the relationship had been an old argument since they’d gotten together. Sparring was the last spark in their wicked tryst.
“Are you man enough to take me?”
“You’re on fire tonight and don’t push me cause I’m gonna push back.” Tony hadn’t even been looking for a steady guy in his bed. Hell, he’d been just coming to terms with the fact that he embraced being gay and then Caelen Tomlin walked into his life.  The stunning cover model, dancer and aspiring actor was nothing short of perfection. Tony fought the possibilities then, knowing what he was going to have to face around the guys. So th two men toyed around getting together for three solid months, playing a sizzling cat and mouse game long enough for Tony to check Caelen out thoroughly. Perks of the career. Caelen was clean, he came from a good family and smokin hot. Standing six foot three with perfectly toned muscles, long shaggy blond hair and the most dazzling emerald green eyes Tony had ever seen on a man, Tony salivated thinking back to their first meeting.
And their first hard fuck. Inhaling deeply, Tony could almost smell the scent of the Italian restaurant from their first date. By the time they finished a bottle of wine, they were so damn hot for each other Tony dragged Caelen into the alley.
“You want me?” Tony hissed, licking his lips.
“The question is, can you handle me?” Caelen preened, sliding his hands down his chest, teasing. Inviting.
     “I suggest you come here.”
     “Or what?”
Tony eyed him casually, contemplating. Taking a long stride, he jerked the sexy blond to his chest, crushing his mouth as he cupped his chiseled ass. Forcing his tongue to the back of his throat, Tony tasted the sweet essence of spiced rum as his cock swelled. Then Tony pushed him hard against the brick wall and broke the wicked moment of passion, staring at Caelen wild eyed. “I’m going to fuck you.”
Caelen panted and glided both hands down Tony’s chest to stroke his cock. “Why don’t I fuck you first?”
“You’ll get your chance later.” Taking a step back, Tony unfastened his skin-tight jeans and nodded to him. “Better get ready or I won’t be gentle.”
“Who says I like it gentle?”
     Tony growled. “Show me.”
Grinning wickedly, Caelen began a little dance of lust, strutting back and forth as the shimmering moon cast a luminous haze down across the darkened space. Tugging his belt free, he swayed back and forth as he slowly unzipped his pants, grazing one hand under his body hugging violet silk shirt.
Tony had never been as hungry for any human in his life. “Hurry, I’m famished.” He pulled out his cock and stroked in fevered motions as he continued to watch the shameless dance.
Caelen opened his button fly, revealing the lack of underwear.
Sucking in his breath, Tony narrowed his eyes as Caelen pulled out his cock. The long thick muscle was a thing of beauty and one Tony wanted to taste, but at the moment, it was Caelen’s lily-white perfect ass he wanted to take…hard. “Bend over and brace the wall.”
     “No.”
Tony raised his eyebrow as he laughed. “You’ll learn.” Stalking him for several sinful seconds, Tony used the power of his upper body strength to push Caelen against the wall, forcing his legs as far apart as the dense material around his knees would allow. Glancing up and down the alley, Tony knew he was risking more than just getting caught. He was endangering his career but his hunger, his need was too great.
“ Shit…you are…” Caelen palmed the wall and threw his head back, lifting his naked ass into the chilly air.
Tony rubbed his ass cheeks, enjoying the way his hard curves fit into his hand. Running his finger up and down Caelen’s crack, he wet the fingers of his other hand and slid them to Celen’s dark hole. “Gonna take you hard and fast, brother. Sure you can handle what I can dish out?”
     “Try me.”
Wasting no time, Tony sliced a single finger inside Caelen’s ass, pushing past the tight ring of muscles as Caelen groaned.
“Shit!” He clawed the brick and dropped his head, arching his back.
“God, so damn tight. Can’t wait to taste that sweet little rose bud of yours,” Tony grunted as he reached around and cupped Caelen’s fully erect cock. Every part of him tingling and he quivered as he inserted a second finger inside, pulsing in and out. As Caelen’s ass muscles gripped around Tony’s invasion, Tony closed his eyes and relished the scintillating moment of being with a man. He picked up his pace, the force pushing Caelen into the wall again.
     “God, fuck me. I…can’t…stand it.”
His heart thumping wildly, Tony grunted like the caged animal he was and lifted his cock, placing the tip at Caelen’s tight entrance. “Oh yeah, you’re one delicious fuck. I’m going to enjoy this.” Pressing it inside, Tony threw his head back and roared as he impaled Caelen in one hard drive, nearly slamming his head into the dense bricks.
“Fuck!” Caelen screamed, his body shaking violently.

Six Sentence Sunday: Excerpt to About The Night Ride Home

Excerpt from Chapter 6: March 18th, 2006:

Please keep in mind this is just a rough copy of the story. It may be subjected to change.

It's been a very long time for them since they have gone out together. They weren't sure if it was a date or just two friends hanging out for the night, but their night felt like deja-vu, and they were continuing where they left off.

As for Darla, it has been more than a week and she has developed feelings for Tyler. She really wanted to know if he felt the same way about her? In fact, she was curious if he remembered where their relationship was left off; in the dance club when he confronted Charlie?

Her heart has never felt so vulnerable over Tyler. She remembered the first time they spent the night together; he was the most perfect date ever, and now two years later, he is still the perfect date ever, except things are different now. She asked herself what was she thinking when she told him they were better off to be friends?

Yet, things couldn't get any more tormenting as she watched him put on that cologne that made her dropped her panties two years ago. It was that same cologne that drove her to hunger and lust at the sushi restaurant, and she's afraid it might happen again; right after the dance club.
